Carpark Update - Happy Hour Extended
We're Back.... And heading for the Carpark!!
After a short break NPF is returning better than ever! We hope you all had an awesome long weekend (and didn't drown or get blown away)! This spooky Halloween Friday, we'll at the Carpark bar (under Downtown carpark opposite the Town Baths). They've approached us offering happy hour drinks until 7 (half price tap beer, Sol beer & wine), I'm in negotiation to get this extended, and free pizzas!!! Woohoo! Mmm pizza.....All you fit freaks doing the half or full marathon, good speed and all that. Before going into meditation for the long run, come on down we'd love to see ya! Also, for those of you that wear Halloween colours, we might just have a little treat for you.... ;-)We're gaining popularity and momentum so let's keep it up, and hopefully the deals (i.e. free alcohol) keep rolling our way! You've Been Waiting For It...
...New Pub Friday that is!Good on those of you that made it to La Zeppa last week, it was an awesome pub (tapas were fantastic), nice work Hadleigh! We had between 30-40 people...sweet! The idea seems to be catching on. Mel suggested this week's bar which recently opened, Bungalow 8 (it has a full length aquarium, how cool is that?), which is located on the cnr of Market Place and Customs Street West in the Viaduct. We'll be there about 6ish to secure a spot. Write up below. Again, bring friends, at this rate the pubs will be coming to us (possibly with bar tabs...fingers crossed), also I haven't loaded everyone's emails so forward this on to those I missed especially those who were there last week, I'd hate to leave anyone out. If you get lost on the night give one of us a buzz (I have no idea where it is either)! See ya'll on Friday! New Pub Fridays hits La Zeppa
Did you say Tapas... After a great first instalment of New Pub Friday we've decided we need to include a bit more food on our second outing!!! :-) So, for the second stop on our weekly pub crawl (as suggested by Hadleigh Brown) ....drum roll please...LA ZEPPA! Famous for it's tapas (and now New Pub Friday), and cheap beer boys! Located 33 Drake Street, Freemans Bay. We will be in better form (ie not so inebriated & keen to try every diff type of beer)..although Emma wants to do it with wine! Soon we'll load pics from last week so you can have a giggle... Suggestions for diff pubs can be posted here too or just tell us on the night. Again, we'll start whenever, just get down there for a drink. New Pub Fridays...
Yo yo!
Okay, so you're all wondering what is she on about, new pub Fridays??? It's only the most exciting thing to come out of the UK since, well Sunday really. One of our friends just got back from the UK and had this great idea of choosing a new pub to go to every Friday for a drink, kinda like a weekly pub crawl.
So here's the deal, every week someone suggests a new place and we all go (if you're in a drinking mood...and let's be honest, most of us always are), mingle, have a bit of fun etc. Nic is setting up a website of the each new pub plus photos (oh no, evidence!) of the drunken debauchery from the previous week.
If anyone knows a good place to start this week off let me know. You know how I like to include people so don't be shy to invite people or forward this to anyone I've missed.
